Dear parents of children with bh4 deficiencies,
I am glad you found us.
My name is Tim Roche and I reside with my family in Waxhaw North Carolina. For about 15 years or more I have been in charge of an e-mail community of parents and doctors involved with children who have bh4 deficiencies. I have two children with PTPS. This is a parents group to help and support you. Don't let fear stop you from immediately seeking the right course of action for your child.
If you are reading this, you may be a new parent who has just discovered that your child has a bh4 deficiency.YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We are here. The information you need is readily available and there are wonderful doctors in this group that can help you. Also in this group, are parents who have been dealing with this health issue for many years. WE ARE READY TO HELP.
There are doctors and other health professionals in this group who know how best to treat your child. You also have the ability to ask questions and speak to parents who want to talk to you. I am here to give to give you whatever reassurance is possible. I promise I will make every effort to do so. I am not a doctor (nor did I ever play one on TV) so I can only give you information from my personal experience, and the experiences of some others in this group. What I cannot answer, someone in the group will.
Fear not. God is good. Things are probably not as bad as you think at this moment. God gives these very special children to parents he knows are capable of taking care of them. I firmly believe that. Your life may change now, but everything will be ok.
This group has grown from very few many years ago, to 45 families and 16 health professionals.It continues to grow with regularity.We want you to become a part of this network.There is nothing formal about it. Just send me an e-mail and you're in. I look forward to speaking with you.
